TECNIS MULTIFOCAL — Progressive Lens Inside the Eye
The Tecnis™ multifocal lifestyle lens has been used in Europe since 2003 and since its introduction, 9 out of 10 patients have reported never wearing glasses after having surgery and a 95% satisfaction rate.
With it’s unique design, the recently U.S. FDA approved Tecnis™ multifocal lifestyle lens gives patients high quality vision for near, far and intermediate distances. Since the Tecnis™ lens is not pupil dependant, you get a clearer near image without bright light. In essence this lens delivers consistent near vision regardless of your lighted environment. The Tecnis™ multifocal lifestyle lens provides vision for reading a menu in a dim lit restaurant, seeing a golf card while wearing dark sunglasses and also reading with a bright lamp or even reading out of doors without sunglasses. However, the one disadvantage with the Tecnis lens may be with night driving because of the potential for rings around headlights and streetlights.
Dr. Moretsky and Dr. Cassidy will help you determine if the Tecnis™ multifocal lifestyle lens is the best option for you based on your individual needs and circumstances.
